The choice of universal wheel should first consider the load-bearing

In recent years, the application of universal wheels in our country has become more and more widespread. We can see casters in many industries. However, many accidents caused by damage to the universal wheels have been reported. According to Caster’s analysis, many accidents were caused by customers failing to properly consider the load-bearing capacity when choosing, which caused troubles in future applications. Objects have different weights, so universal wheels produced in the same way have different load-bearing capacities. The general way of judging the specifications of casters is to look at the load-bearing capacity. Swivel wheels of the same diameter, such as light casters, medium casters, heavy casters, super heavy casters, etc., are used to make the wheels and brackets have different thicknesses or materials. For the load-bearing capacity of industrial casters, a certain safety factor must be given when calculating the load of a single caster. When the ground is relatively flat, the load of a single caster = (total weight of the equipment ÷ number of casters installed) × 1.2 safety factor. If the ground is uneven, the algorithm is: single caster load = total equipment weight ÷ 3. Because no matter what kind of uneven ground, there are always at least three wheels supporting the equipment at the same time. This algorithm is equivalent to an increase in the safety factor, which is more reliable and prevents insufficient load bearing, resulting in a greatly reduced caster life or accident.
