EH08-11-125S-402 Heavy Duty Polyurethane Caster Wheels (5 inch, 250 kg) | Globe Caster
Put a cheap imported castor under a 250 kg trolley, roll it back and forth on concrete eight hours a day, and you will know within three months whether you saved money or just bought trouble. The wheel flatspots, the bracket loosens, the swivel raceway squeaks — and suddenly the whole cart is hard to push. That is exactly what the EH08 series heavy duty caster is built to avoid.
This page covers the EH08-11-125S-402: a 5 inch swivel top-plate polyurethane caster with a cast iron core, ball bearing, and blue zinc plated steel bracket. It is a standard Globe Caster OEM line item, shipped to equipment builders, warehouse system integrators and machinery manufacturers across North America, Europe and Australia.
Who Makes These Casters?
Globe Caster (Foshan Globe Caster Co., Ltd.) has been building casters and castors in Foshan, China since 1988. Our 156,000 m² facility runs in-house stamping, injection molding and PU pouring lines — the bracket, the core and the tread are all made under one roof, not assembled from third-party parts. We supply 21,000+ model combinations to distributors and OEMs, with 600+ standard SKUs held in stock and a typical 30-day lead time.
Our quality system is certified ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. Every caster we ship carries a 12-month warranty. We hold more than 100 national patents and produce around 10 million wheels a year.

What You Cannot See Matters
1. Cast iron core, not plastic
The 402 wheel uses a cast iron core pressure-bonded to a solid PU tread. Compared with a plastic-core polyurethane caster, the iron core does not deform or crush under sustained 250 kg loads — this is the difference between a wheel that stays round after six months and one that develops a flat spot. The red PU outer tread is oil-resistant, runs quietly, and will not scratch epoxy, vinyl or sealed concrete floors.
2. Ball bearing swivel raceway
The swivel head runs on a ball bearing raceway, greased and inspected one by one before shipment. Ball bearing swivels lower push-pull effort compared with plain bore castors, which is why trolleys using EH08 casters stay easy to push even when fully loaded — operators notice this on day one, not after a year.
3. Blue zinc plated bracket
The steel bracket is stamped from heavy-gauge sheet, welded, then electroplated blue zinc. It is not chrome, and it is not for wet washdown or outdoor salt-air use — for those environments we would point you to our stainless or e-coat lines. In a normal warehouse, workshop or factory environment, blue zinc is the right cost-performance choice.
Where This Caster Actually Goes
A European material-handling customer once came to us after a competitor’s PU wheel started cracking at 30% of rated load on their roll containers. We asked three questions: floor type (epoxy), load per wheel (220 kg), and rolling frequency (two shifts). We specified the EH08-11-125S-402 with iron-core PU rather than the lighter plastic-core option, and kept the ball bearing swivel rather than switching to roller bearings to save a few dollars per wheel. Their containers have now run two shifts a day for over a year without a flat spot or a sticky swivel. The customer reorders 800 units per quarter.
Other common installations:
- Factory handling trolleys and roll containers
- Industrial machinery base frames and equipment enclosures
- Warehouse storage racks and order-picking carts
- Mobile workstations and generator housings
- Medical and laboratory transport carts
Installation Tips (4 Steps)
Step 1: Calculate load per wheel
Divide total loaded weight by the number of casters, then add a 30–50% safety margin. For a four-caster cart at 250 kg per wheel, plan for no more than roughly 700 kg gross working load. If your cart hits bumps or floor joints, the margin is what keeps the other wheels alive.
Step 2: Check the hole pattern
The top plate is 114 × 100 mm, with an 84 × 71 mm hole pitch and 11 mm bolt holes. Confirm your equipment’s welded plate matches before drilling — this pattern is common in Chinese-made brackets but differs from some European standards. We send a 2D dimension drawing with every quotation.
Step 3: Mix swivel and rigid
On a cart over 1.2 m long, use two swivel (S) at one end and two rigid (R) at the other to avoid wandering. If you need to lock direction, use the metal dual-brake (SB) variant, which locks both the swivel head and the wheel.
Step 4: Re-check torque after one week
Bolted brackets work loose on new equipment during the first 50 hours of rolling. Torque them again at week one — this single habit eliminates most “wobbly caster” complaints.
FAQ
Q: Can I get a braked version of this caster?
A: Yes. EH08-11-125S-402 is the swivel (S) version. We also make EH08-11-125SB-402 (metal dual brake), EH08-11-125SA-402 (nylon dual brake) and EH08-11-125SC-402 (side brake), all with the same 250 kg rating.
Q: Is the polyurethane tread safe on epoxy and resin floors?
A: Yes. The 95 Shore A PU tread is non-marking and oil-resistant. It will not blacken or scuff clean workshop floors the way hard rubber or nylon wheels can.
Q: Can you OEM with our logo and packaging?
A: Yes. We are a factory-direct caster and castor manufacturer. Custom logo marking on the bracket legs, wheel hardness, bracket surface finish and mixed SKUs per container can be arranged subject to MOQ. Most OEM orders run on a 30-day lead time.
Q: What is the load capacity exactly — per wheel or per cart?
A: The 250 kg figure is per caster. For a four-wheel trolley, plan for no more than about 700 kg gross working load with margin. Tell us your actual gross weight and we will confirm whether 125 mm is enough or whether you should step up to the 150 mm / 300 kg EH08 variant.
Q: Do you have this in stock?
A: EH08-11-125S-402 is part of our 600+ stocked models. Stock status changes weekly — send an inquiry and we will confirm current inventory and production schedule the same business day.
Warranty and Support
Every caster we sell comes with a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects — bad welds, bearing failure, tread delamination, plating issues. We keep batch records so if something fails, we trace it to the production run.
Because we control stamping, molding and PU pouring in-house, we can modify brackets, wheel diameters and tread compounds — not just sell you from a catalog. Send us your load, floor, mounting and brake requirements, and we will recommend the right model.
